Senior / Lead Developer Needed

Looking for a senior lead developer to join a growing team. This is a high-level role that will work closely with the CTO. In addition to development work, you will be involved with the designing, planning, and implementation of large-scale development projects.

Role will also involve assisting with:

Server Management
Utilizing our datacenter’s support team to ensure production servers are performing and running optimally.

Team Management
Assist with sprint and project management of team’s projects
Promoting and advocating of compliance of coding standards and best practices.
Mentoring of other developers

Release Management
Assist in maintaining production integrity of code releases
Conducting code reviews

Support
Will be part of a group of upper level contacts for urgent support issues. This will include being able to be contacted outside of normal working hours when needed.

Effective communication skills to be able to discuss/explain ideas, processes, concepts to other developers and stake holders.

Able to adjust priorities as needed between role responsibilities and your own development projects.

Comfortable actively working with and engaging senior leadership.

In addition to senior lead role, you will also be a part of the development team, working on development projects for an e-commerce system and subsystems within.

As a developer you will be involved with the development of new features to these systems as well as support (bug fixes). You will be working with legacy code as well as writing clean, well-designed code for all new development while following modern coding best practices and standards.

Requirements:
*8 or more years of professional PHP development experience
*Solid understanding of Object Oriented PHP Experience with MVC frameworks (CodeIgniter 4.1.3 preferred)
*Fluent with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including Jquery) Fluent with SQL (e.g. no problem writing complex multi-table joins and hand coding MySQL queries)
*Solid understanding of database design
*Experience working with Linux command line, comfortable with common Bash commands
*Experience using Subversion
*Experience with Git
*Must be comfortable refactoring legacy code
*Comfortable providing grammatically correct English technical documentation
*Strong attention to detail.
