In-Person WordPress Basics Tutor Needed

Job ID: 40478433

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m a complete beginner who wants to feel confident working in WordPress from the ground up. I live in the Winston-Salem / High Point / Greensboro area and learn best face-to-face, so I’m looking for a patient tutor who can meet one-on-one at a mutually convenient spot (public library, coworking space, or similar).

Here’s the ground I’d like to cover:

• Setting up WordPress on a host or local environment
• Navigating the dashboard and core settings
• Choosing and lightly customizing themes so a site matches basic brand guidelines
• Installing, configuring, and understanding the logic behind popular plugins
• Managing pages, posts, media, and menus for clear site structure
• Intro-level SEO and content practices that help pages get found
• Safe updating, backup, and simple troubleshooting routines

The plan I have in mind is a series of short lessons—roughly 1–2 hours each—spread out over a few weeks, with small homework tasks so I can practice between sessions. I’ll bring a laptop and a clean install of WordPress; you bring the know-how and a clear, beginner-friendly teaching style.

Additionally:
- The focus will include adding new pages, posts, and photos while fine-tuning existing content for consistency.
- My website URL is: https://www.BernerTales.com.

Please let me know:
• Your tutoring or training experience (especially with absolute beginners)
• Recommended session cadence and total hours you think I’ll need to cover the above
• Any tools or prep work you’d like me to do before our first meeting.
