.NET Core Website, Fix 1 page

I have a .NET core website and trying to make one page work. Originally the site was .NET forms but converted.
Simple page. It's Update email address but the textbox does now show up. I need the text box show, when and person enters their email address, update the email address in the database (that code working), and then hide the text box and display message the email address was updated.
