Multi-Vendor Marketplace Website Implementation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Implement our website using an existing multi‑vendor marketplace theme (theme forest).
Key Responsibilities:
Environment Setup
Provision development repository, hosting (Heroku/Render/Vercel), and Postgres database.
Install and configure multi vendor theme with our branding.
Backend Implementation
Deploy Django project, add marketplace app, integrate comprehensive data models.
Run migrations and verify all tables (Supplier, Product, Storefront, Affiliate, Order).
Build Excel‑to‑database ingestion command and run initial import.
Implement order routing logic and external API integrations
Frontend Customization
Customize theme styles: colors, typography, layout for homepage, storefront, catalog, checkout.
Enable dynamic storefront paths (/dr-smith), product pages with ?ref= handling.
Add UI for vendor onboarding wizard and dashboard metrics (clicks, orders, revenue).
Implement opt‑in donation checkbox at checkout.
Integrations & Testing
Integrate Stripe Connect for payments and commission splits.
Configure SendGrid/Mailgun for transactional emails (signup, order confirmation, shipping updates).
Write basic end‑to‑end tests for critical flows (signup, import, product listing, checkout).
Handoff & Documentation
Document setup steps (README), API endpoints, and admin workflows.
Provide 1‑hour walkthrough session and support post‑deployment.
-Environment & theme integration, Django setup, data model migrations.
-Excel ingestion, backend order logic, initial frontend screens.
-Checkout & payment integration, email notifications, testing, and final polish.
Accelerated Timeline for Senior Full Stack Engineers using proven templates, automated pipelines, and pair‑programming, we believe can realistically be delivered in relatively short period.
Days 1–2: Rapid environment provisioning, Nest theme install, branding, and project scaffolding.
Days 3–4: Data model migrations, automated Excel ingestion script, and initial import.
Days 5–6: Core backend APIs for storefronts, products, and order routing; lightweight admin UI.
Days 7–8: Frontend customization (homepage, storefront, catalog) and dynamic routing.
Days 9–10: Stripe Connect integration, email workflows, end‑to‑end testing, and deployment.
(This assumes deep familiarity with Django, ThemeForest, and CI/CD practices.)
Required Skills:**
Proven experience with Django + PostgreSQL
Familiarity with ThemeForest (or similar multi‑vendor themes)
Stripe Connect integration
Front‑end customization (HTML/CSS/JS)
Basic DevOps (Heroku/Vercel deployments)
Git workflow and documentation
