This project is focused on building a reward-based crowdfunding platform designed to support and empower underrepresented entrepreneurs by allowing them to raise capital from their communities in exchange for perks and non-monetary rewards. Inspired by platforms like Kickstarter, this tool will serve as a launchpad for entrepreneurs to fund their dreams, while backers support causes they care about.
We already have a working front-end prototype built with React, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui. The UI is clean, responsive, and on-brand with a gold-and-brown visual theme. Now, we're looking for a skilled full-stack developer to bring this platform to life by building the backend, integrating payments, and connecting all the moving parts.

✅ What You’ll Be Responsible For
You’ll take the existing UI and build out the full platform functionality, including:
? Backend Development
Set up a backend using Node.js, Express, or a similar framework
Connect and manage a database (PostgreSQL, Supabase, or MongoDB)
Build RESTful API endpoints for users, campaigns, donations, course progress, and admin actions
Implement role-based user authentication (admin, business owner, supporter)
Securely manage and store user data
? Payment Integration
Integrate with Stripe (or PayPal) for:
Donation processing
Fund disbursement after campaign success
Escrow functionality based on campaign and course completion
Creator banking information and payout setup
? Course & Eligibility System
Create admin tools for uploading course content
Allow business users to take required courses to qualify for funding
Track progress and automatically verify completion for payout eligibility
? Dashboards & UI Connectivity
Supporter Dashboard: track contributions and reward statuses
Business Dashboard: campaign analytics, course status, payout readiness
Admin Dashboard: approve campaigns, monitor platform activity, manage users
Connect all dashboards to backend data and logic
? Additional Features
Automated email notifications (backing confirmation, campaign success, reward fulfillment)
Campaign search, filtering, and discovery features
Mobile responsiveness and security best practices
QA, testing, and launch prep

Ongoing availability for feedback, decisions, and approvals
Opportunity to stay on long-term as a paid technical advisor, lead developer, or even part-time CTO if desired

Solid experience in full-stack development (React front-end + Node.js or equivalent back-end)
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs
Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Supabase, or MongoDB
Experience with Stripe integration or other secure payment platforms
Familiarity with authentication systems and role-based permissions
Ability to connect front-end to live data
Competent in building dashboards and clean admin interfaces
Strong understanding of security, data protection, and scalability
Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
