Experienced Front-End Developer Needed for POS Page Enhancements
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for a skilled front-end developer with expertise in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, Jinja2 and CSS to implement enhancements on our existing Point of Sale (POS) web page. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user interface design and experience in integrating front-end components with backend systems. Existing code will be provided.
Tasks:
- Enhance Current Product Filtering: Update our POS page to include dynamic product filtering. The filtering should be responsive and update the product display in real-time. Currently drop down for Categories and input field for searching are functioning. This needs to be upgraded to a sidebar similar to what is commonly found on online stores that includes filtering for:
+ Category
+ Price (Min and Max value inputs as well as bar chart with slider)
+ Brand
- Conflict Resolution: Ensure that the search and filters respect each other's current state, meaning the visibility of product cards should be correctly updated no matter which filter is applied.
- Basket Display Enhancements: Modify our existing basket to show a top line summary that can be expanded to show the full basked.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery, particularly in implementing complex front-end logic.
Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, with experience in responsive design.
Experience with Bootstrap 4 and Jinja2.
Familiarity with Flask (Python) is a plus, as our backend system is built with Flask.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Good communication skills and ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Project Deliverables:
Fully functional product filtering.
Enhanced basket functionality with intuitive add/remove actions.
Seamless integration of the new features and design with the existing POS page and JavaScript functions.
Documentation of the code and a brief guide on integrating the changes.
