Design-, Front-end and back-end works for website as interface to material databse

The project is about a website that serves as an interface to a database where materials and their properties can be searched. A running prototype (with express.js in a Node.js environment) is already existing but requires front-end works and some associated back-end works.

First some general design conception needs to be done to create a good user experience and a branding effect. The developed overall design/layout should be implemented in the existing pages using bootstrap as the main front-end framework and Sass to define styles for elements on a higher level. Further, various front-end features (mobile optimization, spacing, form validation, …) should be implemented in accordance with the developed overall design.
On the back-end handling for all implemented requests should be prepared for future usage. Further a CMS, CSS purger and an overall error handling for all routes should be implemented including escaping of submitted data to prevent injection attacks.

Eventually a documentation about the made Implementations should be submitted.
