Custom Pimcore Development: Backend & Frontend
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
seeking an experienced developer to handle both the backend (data management and integration with Shopify) and the frontend (HTML template creation) for dynamic product datasheets. The goal is to take the current datasheet designs from Adobe InDesign and replicate them as dynamic HTML templates, integrated with Shopify.
Key Components:
Shopify Product Data Management:
Shopify is used to manage the product catalog. This means the project needs to pull product data from Shopify instead of Pimcore.
The data from Shopify includes product variations, pricing, stock availability, and product details (e.g., specifications, dimensions).
CSV Mapping: You may still need to handle product imports into Shopify via CSV or the Shopify Admin API to manage bulk product data and variations.
Product Variants and Dynamic Datasheets:
Similar to the previous scope, the products will have various configurations (e.g., different wattages, sizes, colors) and this information needs to be reflected dynamically in the datasheets.
Shopify’s API can be used to pull product information and dynamically display these configurations on the datasheets.
Shopify product templates will need to display information like technical specifications, images, warranties, and certifications.
Frontend Requirements (HTML Templates):
Create responsive, dynamic HTML templates for the product datasheets, replicating the current design from Adobe InDesign but optimized for Shopify integration.
These templates should dynamically display data pulled from Shopify for different product variants (e.g., dropdown menus for selecting different wattages, beam angles, etc.).
Ensure a seamless UI for viewing and interacting with the datasheets on both desktop and mobile devices.
Export and Printing Options:
Include an option for users to export or print the product datasheets directly from the website while maintaining the professional format seen in Adobe InDesign.
Ensure the datasheets are printer-friendly and retain a clean layout when exported as PDF or printed.
Backend (Shopify Integration):
Shopify API Integration: Use the Shopify Admin API or Storefront API to retrieve product data dynamically for each datasheet, including variants and product-specific details.
CSV Product Imports: If necessary, use Shopify’s import tools to upload bulk product data via CSV, ensuring all product details (e.g., technical specs, pricing, and inventory) are up-to-date.
Product Variations: Leverage Shopify’s product variants feature to handle multiple configurations, and ensure these variants are reflected in the datasheets dynamically.
Frontend (HTML Template Creation):
Dynamic HTML Templates: Replicate the datasheet designs from InDesign into responsive HTML templates. These templates should pull product data directly from Shopify, ensuring the datasheets stay up-to-date without manual changes.
Responsive Design: Ensure the datasheets are mobile-friendly and look great on all devices.
Interactive Elements: Implement interactive UI components (e.g., dropdown menus or tabs) to handle product variations directly within the datasheet templates, allowing users to toggle between different options (e.g., wattage, color, size).
Export/Print Options: Add functionality for users to export or print the datasheets directly from the web.
Skills and Experience Needed:
Shopify Development: Experience working with the Shopify platform, including APIs, CSV imports, and product variation management.
HTML/CSS/JavaScript: Proficiency in creating dynamic, responsive HTML templates that integrate seamlessly with Shopify’s product data.
API Integration: Ability to pull data from Shopify using APIs and dynamically update the HTML templates with live product information.
UI/UX Design: Experience in creating user-friendly, professional templates from scratch, replicating designs from tools like Adobe InDesign.
Export/Print Functionality: Knowledge of how to implement print/export features for web-based templates.
