Create templates for Sphinx and rinoh
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I need two templates creating for use with Sphinx and rinohtype.
Firstly...DO NOT place bids if you have no experience of these two packages - you will be wasting my time and yours. Secondly, this project will be in two stages: the first will be to create the Sphinx html template, the second the rinoh template. I will require the winning bidder to provide suitable instructions for the installation and use of these templates; again, if you can't do this DON'T BID!
So first stage:
The environment I am running Sphinx is an Ubuntu 20 environment, so any instructions should reflect this.
I need a modified version of the native Sphinx theme 'nature'. The customisations needed are:
changes to some aspects of the colour schemes
removal of the 'view source' sidebar menu option
change to the default 'xyz documentation' text in the sidebar to make it more readable
using the 'Montserrat' font as the default font (this is a Google font and is freely available)
the addition of a background graphic to the theme landing page
I will expand on the colour scheme and the sidebar text changes once I have selected the winning bid. I will need full instructions on where the modified template should be installed, where/how the font files need to be installed, as well as instructions on the changes to be made to the Sphinx conf.py file.
Second stage:
Rinohtype uses the default Sphinx 'book' template to create pdf files. I need this template modifying so that:
the template uses the 'Montserrat' font throughout
the colour scheme follows that of the HTML template
the addition of a background image on the first page
the chapter headings read 'Section 'x'', rather than Chapter
Some other formatting changes (mainly to headers/footers)
Again, I will expand on the finer points to the winning bidder, and I will need full instructions on where the modified template should be installed, where/how the font files need to be installed, as well as instructions on the changes to be made to the Sphinx conf.py file so that PDF output will use the new template.
There may also be a third (additional stage) which involves creating an epub template for Sphinx to replace the default one.
The project will ONLY be complete when both parts of the project are completed to my satisfaction, , proven to work and has adequate instruction/documentation.
To reiterate...IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH SPHINX AND RINOHTYPE...DON'T BID!!!!!!!!!
I look forward to reviewing your proposals.
