Convert old-style PHP Gay Adult Site to Laravel Upgrade

Job ID: 39077174

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

I'm looking for an experienced Laravel developer to migrate my old PHP gay adult site to a Laravel format. The site includes a User Membership System, Content Management System, and Video Streaming Capability, among other features.

Key Requirements:
- Complete migration of all existing features from the old PHP site to the new Laravel version
- Enhanced site performance post-migration
- Excellent understanding of Laravel framework
- Experience with user membership systems, content management systems, and video streaming capabilities

The primary goal for this project is to improve the site's performance and makie it Google-search friendly. Please only bid if you have significant experience with Laravel and can ensure a high-quality, efficient migration.

Details:
1. Although I am not a programmer, I have owned and operated this site by myself since 2006. I will be a great asset to helping you do this work. People tell me I’m a good guy to work with. I am fair and pay promptly.
2. This adult site is mainly for gay seniors (like me), we do not like changes. Yes, I want to keep the old style look and feel as it is. The main reasons to upgrade to Laravel format is: a) the mobile site is actually an independent set up, so it’s like I have 2 websites, the PC side and the mobile side. That’s old and dumb. b) The current code structure is not google search friendly. So it needs to be changed to Laravel.
3. This site is complex. There is a detailed data base, a huge library of gay videos, a huge library of photo albums, some news, games, articles, horoscopes, a member messaging system, etc., so is some ways, it works like a gay newspaper.
4. You will need to have a server to use so to set up the new site to see how well it works and to work out bugs. However, since the video component is huge, you don’t need to upload more than a dozen video for testing.
5. The video component is the most popular. We use FFMPEG and also have a program to preview videos when you hover the curser, as most video site do.
6. What is your experience in working with Laravel? Send links to the Laravel sites you have worked on.
7. Bid on a price between $1,500 and $3,000 for the entire project. There will be no traditional milestones since the only value to me is a completed project.
8. You will receive 75% when the project is completed and I can see it working on your server. And the final 25% after all bugs are worked out, hopefully in 10 days after that.
In order to determine the full scope of work so you may submit a proper bid, go to the site: https://www.gayties.com/ create a simple (short-version) account at “sign up.” For your user name, use “freelancer” followed by any 2 numbers, such as freelancer33. I will approve you within a few hours. When you are on the site, click on EVERYTHING. Get a feel for the complexity.
9. You must have a server to upload my new site and test it.

I will delete your account after you check it out.
