BigCommerce Customization: add ZIP code lookup with custom API

Hello There,
I need a custom ZIP code based search feature in an existing BigCommerce website:
1. Need to add a modal on the product page, it will open for each visitor, rough mockup https://ibb.co/x7DSTWs
2. When customer enters the the ZIP code, we will store it the customer's account.
3. We need to display this ZIP code as Service Location in the existing quote box, like this: https://ibb.co/vJGGL2j
4. Customers will be able to update this ZIP code from the quote box or from the site header (need to display it there as well).
5. Once saved, we will not show the product details modal for the SAME customer and instead use the saved zipcode.
6. We need to call an API (will be shared) to detect if any provider is available at that ZIP code then we will show 2 different messages on the Cart Preview page based on the response of the API, like this: https://nimb.ws/DFtKAS and https://nimb.ws/K75EXm
