Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced interior designer / design studio to design the living room of a private residence in Kerala, India.
The house exterior follows a traditional Kerala architectural style, while the interior is intended to be modern, refined, and contemporary, with a design language that harmoniously blends tradition and modernity.

• Create a modern living room that feels warm, elegant, and timeless
• Ensure the interior design respects and complements the traditional Kerala exterior
• Avoid overly traditional or ornate interiors; preference is for clean lines, subtle local elements, and premium finishes
• The space should feel calm, functional, and aesthetically strong
Design direction (indicative):
• Contemporary Kerala / Warm modern
• Neutral colour palette with natural tones
• Use of natural materials such as wood, stone, textured finishes
• Modern furniture with understated detailing
• Thoughtful lighting that enhances the space and highlights architectural features

Important Structural Note
• The living room has a partial ceiling.
• A pergola element is present and will remain as part of the design.
• No full false ceiling design is required.
• The design should work with and enhance the existing pergola and partial ceiling, using lighting and materials appropriately.

The designer will be responsible for:
1. Concept Design
• Design concept and narrative
• Mood board (colours, materials, finishes)
2. 3D Visualisation
• High-quality photorealistic 3D renders of the living room
• Day and night views
• Minimum two design options (preferred)
3. Detailed Drawings
• Furniture layout
• Lighting layout (aligned to partial ceiling and pergola)
• Electrical layout
• Custom furniture / joinery details (if applicable)
4. Material & Finish Specification
• Flooring, wall finishes, surface treatments
• Furniture, lighting, and décor specifications
5. Execution Support (Optional / To be discussed)
• Site coordination and design supervision (if required)
