Local Home Automation set up
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
We have a client with a house full of smart gear waiting to be connected to an app, and I need someone who can come over, hook everything into their existing network, and leave with a rock-solid, easy-to-use system.
Here is what’s waiting for you:
• A mix of smart lights, thermostats, cameras, and several other non-LG appliances that all need to be paired to Homey (Z-Wave, Zigbee, Wi-Fi and BLE in the mix).
• A modern home network (UniFi-based) that will host the whole setup.
• A clear wish list of scenes and automations: unified lighting control, heating & cooling schedules, security arming/disarming, and a few appliance routines.
What we need from you on-site:
1. Map every device, get it joined to the correct Homey protocol, and label it clearly.
2. Optimise my Wi-Fi / Zigbee / Z-Wave channels so nothing fights for airtime.
3. Build the initial flows (lighting scenes, climate schedules, security triggers, plus a “whole-house off” routine).
4. Walk me through the dashboard, so I can tweak or expand the system later.
5. Document the final network and automation layout for easy reference.
Acceptance will be based on smooth device control through an app (no lag, no drops) and my ability to reproduce the key flows after your walkthrough.
Because everything is already on-site, the client needs someone local who can physically visit, plug in, test, and tidy up the cabling. If this sounds like your kind of project, let us know!
