HomeSeer Alexa Smart-Home Setup
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I have between six and ten Amazon-Alexa-compatible lights and switches that all need to be brought onto the same Wi-Fi network, named consistently, and organised by room. Once every device is stable and discoverable, I want to move on to automation using HomeSeer.
Your job begins with connecting each device, confirming it responds reliably through Alexa, and documenting the exact model and firmware you encounter. After that, please install or configure HomeSeer (I already hold a licence) and build a visual floor-plan: a simple drag-or-click map of my home where each room shows its lights as icons I can toggle in real time. Group actions such as “all downstairs off” or “kitchen on at sunset” will be a bonus.
Deliverables
• All devices online and voice-controlled via Amazon Alexa
• HomeSeer configured on my server, remote access enabled
• Custom floor-plan dashboard with live on/off control for every light
• Short hand-over document listing network credentials, device names, and any scene logic
Acceptance criteria
• No device drops connection over a 48-hour test period
• Every icon on the floor-plan successfully triggers its corresponding light within two seconds
• Scenes run on schedule three days in a row without error
