I'm seeking a researcher to locate and gather official government records from the modern era in Paris.
Key Requirements:
- Based in Paris !!
- Access to Parisian archives
- Expertise in navigating government documents
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Background in history or archival research
- Proficiency in French
- Previous experience with government records
Essentially, what is required is someone to go to the Service Historique de la Défense in Vincennes, and take photographs - mobile phone sufficient - of several files which are kept there. It would require: 1. to be based in Paris, 2. fluency in French, 3. to create an account with the SHD and reserve the materials in question, 4. to go there on the earliest possible date for which they can be reserved and take pictures of the ordered documents.
