Remote Chief Medical Officer

I’m looking for an experienced, board-certified physician who can step in as Chief Medical Officer while working entirely off-site. You’ll act as the senior clinical voice for a rapidly expanding healthcare group that delivers most of its services through digital channels, so comfort with telehealth platforms, cloud-based EMRs, and HIPAA-compliant collaboration tools is essential.
What I need from you
• Shape and safeguard our overall clinical strategy, ensuring every protocol aligns with current evidence-based standards and applicable regulations.
• Guide a multidisciplinary medical staff remotely, setting performance expectations and mentoring team leads.
• Review key quality metrics each week and turn the data into clear, actionable recommendations for the executive team.
• Help refine our telehealth workflows so virtual consults run smoothly and patient satisfaction remains high.
• Produce concise, executive-level reports that track outcomes, compliance status, and emerging risks.
Ideal profile
You have held a C-suite or departmental leadership post before, are licensed to practice in the United States (multi-state licensure is a plus), and can commit to scheduled virtual meetings across U.S. time zones. Solid familiarity with NCQA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards will make onboarding faster.
Delivery expectations
1. First 30 days: complete a comprehensive review of current clinical policies and submit an improvement roadmap.
2. Ongoing: attend a weekly 60-minute leadership call, provide a KPI dashboard, and remain available for urgent consultations within four business hours.
