EHR Terms & HIPAA Policy
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m rolling out an Electronic Health Record platform that will be accessed by both patients and healthcare providers. To launch responsibly, I need two airtight documents:
• A plain-language, enforceable Terms of Service that reflects EHR-specific risks—fraud-and-abuse exposure, Stark and Anti-Kickback considerations, user authentication, audit trails, and proper PHI handling.
• A HIPAA-compliant Privacy Policy that foregrounds user rights and access, clarifies how PHI is collected, stored, and disclosed, and aligns with 45 CFR §164.
Both pieces must be written so lay users can grasp them yet remain robust enough to satisfy external counsel and regulatory scrutiny. Final versions should arrive in editable Word and clean PDF formats, accompanied by a short compliance matrix mapping each section to the relevant HIPAA or fraud-and-abuse citation.
If you have a proven track record drafting policies for EHR vendors—or documents that later passed ONC or SOC 2 review—please share a brief sample clause so I can gauge your style. I’m ready to move quickly once I find the right fit.
