Recording Details for IN-HI Project
It will cost about 1 hour for each speaker to record. 6-8 persons’ data shall be send to us per day. Speakers use our app Ocean Speech to record.
Equipment:
mobile phone; 16k, 16 bit, single channel
We need the information for their phone model.
Speakers:
We need 50 native Hindi speakers to record. Some light accent of a few speakers are acceptable but a heavy accent are not proper for this project. And please ensure each speaker is a unique individual. Repeated speakers will be recognized as invalid.
Gender: male

S0: Phonetically Rich Sentence: 5 hours in total, 6 min per person, to read fixed sentences;
S1-1: Voice Notes/Memos: 5 hours in total, 6 min per person, to give instructions to voice assistant under certain conditions like setting a memo; A piece of voice note or memo shall be within 6-10 second; The sentence structure shall be “ voice assistant”, “Hi”, “Hey”or “Hello” + “ an instruction”.

S2: Interview/Meeting: 5 hours in total, 13-15min per group, to have a random dialog according to a given topic; speakers shall be matched in pairs. And each of them shall record just once.
