Program a simple game

Job ID: 36172366

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

Arrow Game:

Background:
We are looking for a candidate to design a simple app in which users must tap a boxed arrow (example visualisation included in PDF document) to earn points. We want the game to eventually be available on the android app store or through a browser. We have a negotiable budget of £70.

Our ideal candidate:
Has previous relevant experience,
Speaks fluent English (preferably), Mandarin, Cantonese or Hindi
Lives within +- 3hrs GMT or is flexible regarding times for virtual meetings (if necessary)

Concept:
A simple game to challenge concentration and reaction times.

On the main screen, you just need a “Start Game” button.

The screen shows a stream of moving arrows increasing in speed (along to music increasing in tempo), changing direction and colours. At random intervals, certain arrows will be surrounded by a box of a specified colour (displayed at the top of the screen, for example). The faster the user clicks the boxed arrow, the higher reward they get. If they miss a boxed arrow the user shall lose a life. Streams of arrows can change directions.

The players accumulate points by tapping the specified boxed arrow as quick as they can. The sooner the player clicks the specific shape, the more points they receive (on a scale of 1-100). If the player fails to tap the specified shape before it disappears off the screen or the click an incorrect arrow (none boxed or with an incorrect colour box, for example). Once the user has lost all their lives, the game shall display their points for a short period before the game automatically restarts.

Technical requirements

Support Android systems or a website and adaptable to different sizes of mobile device screens.
High-quality music and sound effects, while ensuring the synchronization and stability of music and operations.
The game needs to adopt modern development technology, such as Unity3D, Cocos2D, etc., to ensure the fluency of the game and user experience.
Game needs to increasein difficulty, that is, the frequency of boxes appearing, changing colour and direction.
