I am looking for an experienced web developer to build a capstone project website aimed at translating Indian Sign Language. Project Title: Indian Regional Kannada Sign Language (IRKSL) Translation System
Project Description
We are looking for a freelancer to develop a bidirectional translation system for Indian Regional Kannada Sign Language (IRKSL). The system should enable:
1. Real-time ISL-to-text/speech translation – Users sign in front of a webcam, and the system converts it into text or speech (Kannada/English).
2. Text/Speech-to-ISL conversion – Users input text or speech, and the system generates corresponding ISL signs as an animated representation.
The freelancer can use any tech stack, but the final output should meet the following functionality.
Key Requirements
1. Sign-to-Text/Speech Translation (Real-Time Webcam Input)
Capture real-time video input from the user.
Recognize Indian Sign Language (ISL) gestures.
Convert recognized signs into text and refine them into grammatically correct sentences using NLP.
Provide speech output in Kannada or English, with the user selecting their preferred language.
2. Text/Speech-to-Sign Translation
Accept text or speech input and generate corresponding Indian Sign Language animations.
Speech input should be transcribed before generating the sign animation.
3. User Interface (Frontend)
Intuitive UI with:
Language selection (Kannada/English) for speech output.
Two modes:
Sign Input Mode: Real-time ISL recognition.
Text/Speech Input Mode: ISL animation output.
Navigation Bar: Home, About Us, Subscription, and Settings.
User Authentication: Login and Sign-up pages.
4. Backend & Processing
Should handle real-time deep learning model inference for sign recognition.
Database storage for user preferences and translation history.
5. Deployment & Performance
The system should be accessible via a web-based platform.
Optimized for both desktop and mobile.
Freelancer Requirements
Can use any tech stack as long as the final output meets the specified functionality.
Experience with computer vision, NLP, and speech recognition is a plus.
Ability to integrate speech synthesis and translation features (Google Translate API, TTS engines, etc.).
Experience in web development and deployment.
