Trucking Compliance Setup & Oversight
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run a fleet of heavy trucks and need a knowledgeable compliance partner who can both build and maintain our safety files. The immediate priority is to create fully compliant Driver Qualification Files, bring our Hours of Service records into a streamlined electronic format, and organise vehicle-maintenance documentation so every inspection, repair, and PM is traceable at a glance.
Once the initial structure is solid, I want the same person to stay on as an ongoing monitor—reviewing files, flagging expirations, and preparing anything we may need for a DOT audit. Think of it as a one-time overhaul followed by continuous, light-touch oversight. Experience with FMCSA rules for heavy trucks is essential; familiarity with common tools such as JJ Keller Encompass, KeepTruckin / Motive, or similar platforms will make the work smoother.
Deliverables
• Complete, audit-ready Driver Qualification Files for every driver
• HOS data migrated or set up in an electronic system with clear exception reports
• A centralised vehicle-maintenance log that tracks inspections, repairs, and due dates
• A simple monthly summary that shows compliance status and any emerging issues
Acceptance criteria: all files must meet current FMCSA standards, be organised in a shareable digital folder, and pass an internal spot check. If you’ve kept carriers with heavy equipment on the right side of regulations before, let’s get started.
