Propane Shop Heater Installation
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I have a medium-sized workshop—roughly 500-1,500 sq ft—that needs its first dedicated heat source. I’m looking for a professional who can supply and install a ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted propane heater, size it correctly for the space, and handle everything from gas line routing to final safety checks.
Scope of work
• Recommend a reliable, appropriately-sized propane unit (BTU calculation included).
• Run and secure all propane lines, valves, and regulators, following local code.
• Install venting, combustion air intake, and condensate handling as required by the manufacturer.
• Mount the heater, connect electrical/thermostat controls, and ensure proper airflow clearances.
• Test-fire the system, check for leaks, calibrate the thermostat, and provide a quick walk-through on operation and maintenance.
I already have clear wall space and exterior access for venting; any additional materials can be included in your quote or detailed as a separate list. Photos of the shop and access points are available upon request.
I’ll consider the job complete once the heater is running smoothly, all safety inspections pass, and basic user documentation is provided. If you have recent experience with propane shop or garage heaters and can start soon, let’s get this project underway.
