Node.js Engineer for innovative healthcare product

Responsibilities:
- Help us build our backend platform which serves the DayTwo mobile app, web clients, ML models, and data pipelines.
- Design, code and test new features and capabilities in our core SaaS platform.
- Work closely with product, data science, mobile, web, and DevOps teams to build an awesome end-to-end experience for our users.
- Improve the performance, scalability, and stability of our platform.
- Make an impact! we’re still a small team... the code you’ll write and the decisions you’ll take will count and shape the future of our platform.

You’d Be a Good Fit If:
- You’re a strong developer, with at least 3 years of experience building and shipping great products.
- You have at least 3 years of proven development with Node.js.
- You have at least 3 years of proven cloud experience and know your way around AWS (or GCP/ Azure)
- You have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- You are self-driven and comfortable working both individually and as part of a team.
- You can get it done. Right

You’d be a really great fit if:
- You have a good understanding of the microservices architecture.
- You’re experienced with the ELK stack You’re experienced with serverless architecture.
- You’re experienced with ETL and data pipelines.
- You’ve worked with event-driven architectures.

- You’re familiar with web development best practices and security concepts.

Our tech stack:
- We have a “right tool for the job” approach; Our backend services are written in Java (Spring Boot), Node, and python. Our web client is built with React-Redux.
- We use MySQL for structured data, Mongo for documents, and S3 for everything else.
- We search with Elastic, cache with Redis, and use SNS/SQS for messaging.
- We use lambdas and run on k8s in AWS, and build with Jenkins.
