Interviewer for Cancer Survivor Interviews

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

We are seeking a skilled freelance interviewer to conduct half-hour interviews with individuals who are living with or have previously been diagnosed and cured of colorectal cancer. The goal is to compile 50 to 100+ interviews capturing both the humanistic and medical aspects of their experiences, from diagnosis through to life after recovery.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct structured half-hour interviews following a provided script of questions.
- Ensure clarity and poise while uncovering personal and medical insights.
- Maintain sensitivity and empathy throughout the interview process.

Requirements:

- Fluency in English.
- Experience in conducting interviews, preferably in healthcare or patient advocacy.
- Experience in on-camera journalism, reporting, or structured interviewing.
- Ability to follow a scripted interview format while allowing for organic conversation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy.
- Medical background (e.g., nurse, PA, physician, or other health experience) is a plus.
- Hourly Rate: Please propose your hourly rate based on your experience and expertise. We anticipate 50 to 100+ hours of work and are open to discussing rates based on the scope of work and qualifications.
