Sleep Apnea VA Nexus Opinion

Job ID: 40531817

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I require a formal nexus opinion that clearly links my diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea to my active-duty service so it can withstand scrutiny at the VA regional office. The document must read like a concise, evidence-based medical opinion—well organized, referenced, and consistent with VA disability claim guidelines (38 CFR, M21-1, DBQ style formatting).

The narrative should:
• Summarize my relevant personal medical history, including service-connected conditions already on record.
• Cite up-to-date peer-reviewed medical literature that supports each causal mechanism you present.
• Integrate at least one expert witness statement (e.g., pulmonologist or sleep specialist) with credentials and rationale clearly noted.

Acceptance criteria
• Finished opinion is 2–4 pages, polished in Microsoft Word or PDF.
• Every claim of causation is backed by an in-text citation and a reference list in AMA style.
• Tone and structure mirror successful VA nexus letters—professional, succinct, and free of advocacy language that might raise red flags.
• Delivered within two days of contract start so I can review before filing.

Please ensure the final document is ready for direct submission to VA officials without further editing on my end.

in short, Although previously mentioned ("CPAP Required") in my nexus opinion -- I'm in need of assistance with help me with a medical nexus statement stating my condition requires the use of a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine as part of ongoing treatment.

The use of a CPAP device is medically necessary to manage the Veteran’s obstructive sleep apnea and to reduce associated symptoms, including disrupted sleep and daytime hypersomnolence.

The Veteran’s condition is chronic in nature and requires continuous use of CPAP therapy for proper management. As i've already been diagnosed and awarded 30% but only due to an oversight from the VA in which the rater totally dismissed the requirement for CPAP as stated in my nexus opinion.
