The purpose of this proposal is to outline the scope, responsibilities, and expectations for a Medical Director who will oversee and manage a team of approximately 10–20 healthcare professionals, including:
Registered Nurses (RNs)
Massage Therapists
Chiropractors
Physical Therapists
Counselors and Behavioral Health Providers
This role is critical to maintaining clinical integrity, operational efficiency, and a strong culture of collaboration and professionalism.
Scope of Responsibilities
1. Clinical Oversight & Leadership
Provide medical and clinical oversight for all healthcare services offered
Ensure care delivery aligns with evidence-based practices and professional standards
Serve as the primary clinical authority and point of escalation for complex care matters
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and quality assurance across all services
2. Staff Onboarding & Workforce Management
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new healthcare professionals
Review credentials, licenses, and qualifications for clinical staff
Support the engagement and management of independent contractors (1099 providers)
Establish clinical protocols and expectations for contractors and employees
3. Hiring & Contractor Compliance
Collaborate in recruiting and retaining top-tier healthcare professionals
Ensure proper classification, documentation, and compliance for 1099 contractors
Support contract development and clinical role definitions
Maintain consistency in care standards regardless of employment classification
4. Scheduling & Care Coordination
Oversee scheduling workflows for mobile and in-home services
Ensure efficient provider utilization while maintaining quality of care
Support appointment coordination across disciplines
Address scheduling conflicts and operational challenges as needed
5. Healthcare Compliance & Training
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
Develop and oversee ongoing clinical training and competency standards
Support HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality practices
Assist in policy development, clinical documentation standards, and audits
6. Communication & Technology Integration
Lead day-to-day clinical communication using a secure business app platform
Establish clear communication protocols between leadership and providers
