Refit Steel Cabinet Hinges

Job ID: 39974801

Budget: $15 – $25 AUD

The surface-mounted steel hinges on my cabinet doors have started to wobble because the mounting screws keep working loose. I need someone who can take the doors down, secure each hinge properly, and make sure everything lines up again when you’re finished.

The job calls for:
• Removing each hinge, assessing screw holes, and tightening or replacing fasteners so the hinge plates grip solid wood—not stripped fibers.
• Re-hanging the doors, checking clearances, and confirming smooth, even movement without sagging.
• Supplying any replacement screws or wall plugs if the originals are no longer serviceable.

Standard hand tools (driver set, drill, wood filler or dowels) should be all that’s required; no concealed or inset hardware is involved—just straightforward surface-mounted steel hinges. When you’re done I’d like the doors to sit flush and stay that way over time. Let me know your estimated turnaround and how you plan to tackle the loose screws issue.
