Python, GraphQL Backend Integration
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
We need an experienced Python developer who can jump in right away and build out a fully-functioning GraphQL API, wire it cleanly to the database layer, and handle the supporting data-processing logic that sits behind it.
Scope of work
You will design and implement the GraphQL schema, write the resolvers, and connect everything to a relational store (PostgreSQL or similar). While doing so, I also expect you to organise the database structure itself models, migrations, indexing and optimisation—so the API responds quickly even under load. A small but important part of the job is to codify the data-processing routines that prepare or transform records before they are exposed through the API.
The project is a priority and we would like to see the first functional slice as soon as possible, with frequent updates so we can iterate quickly.
Deliverables
• Running GraphQL API in Python (FastAPI, Django-Graphene or a comparable stack—your call)
• Database schema and migration scripts committed to version control
• Data-processing module callable from the API layer
• Basic unit tests and a short README showing how to spin the service up locally
If you are comfortable moving fast and can demonstrate prior GraphQL work in Python, let’s get started.
