Pinterest-Style Image Sharing Site Development
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a clean, reliable Pinterest-like web application that lets visitors collect images into boards. The core scope is intentionally narrow for this first release: authenticated users must be able to create boards, pin images to them, and view everything in a responsive masonry grid.
Image acquisition has to happen through a companion browser extension rather than a standard “upload” button. When a user activates the extension on any public webpage, they should be able to choose images, select one of their boards (or create a new one on the fly), and save the pin with its source URL automatically attached.
Please build the site with a modern JavaScript stack—React or Vue on the front end and a lightweight Node/Express or similar back end—but I am open to other proven frameworks if they accelerate delivery. The database just needs to store users, boards, and pin metadata for now; no full-text search or analytics in this phase. Clean REST or GraphQL endpoints, secure authentication, and straightforward deployment instructions are all part of the hand-off.
Acceptance criteria
• Web app: sign-up/login, create/edit/delete boards, add/remove pins, infinite scroll grid
• Browser extension (Chrome first): capture images, select board, save pin with source link
• Responsive UI, basic but polished styling
• Code repository and brief README so I can run the stack locally and push to cloud hosting later
Future items such as user follow systems or advanced discovery features are out of scope for this milestone, so please focus your estimate and timeline on the essentials above.
