I have a couple of assignments that i would need completed by EOW.
Creating a vector mascot: Your Mascot MUST be vector art that you create and include a name (use the type tools).
DO NOT JUST USE 'IMAGE TRACE' TO COPY AN EXISTING IMAGE FOR THIS. Make your own mascot by using the drawing tools.
Your Mascot must be in color and have some thought behind it (it doesn't have to be overly complicated, but don't just draw a circle and slap a name on it!). Have fun with the process
Please create your mascot on an 8.5" x 11" Illustrator document and submit your ai. file when finished.
Image Tracing: After watching how 'Image Trace' works, find a photo or drawing and experiment with the Image Trace feature. You can use any image you want! Experiment with the 'Presets' and threshold. Once you finish experimenting, save your image as an .ai file. Again, I just want you to experiment so there's no wrong way to do this. You can create some really cool effects with this!
A packaged folder of the magazine file from Chapter 13. I encourage you to make changes to the file and experiment with what you have learned so far from the videos (changing colors, editing text, placing images, etc.) This is all great practice for your final project!** Please take the time here and experiment. REMEMBER: Colors work the same in InDesign as they do in Illustrator — with the fill and stroke.
