Safe vehicle
Safe vehicle is a solution that may be implemented under the sponsorship heath authorities. It is a device that shows the sanitary immunization status of people inside a vehicle (car, bus, train…etc.). It can be used for multiple purposes, for instance:
1. Taxi, bus, and App-based car drivers (such as Uber) can ensure the passenger sanitary status.
2. Taxi, bus, App-based car passenger can ensure the sanitary status of the driver (and all other passenger) before they get into the vehicle.
3. An agent at a controlled gate checks on the sanitary status of all the vehicle's passengers at one go.
It consists of a double-sided color-coded screen attached on the car's windshield visible to the exterior and interior of the vehicle. The screen color turns into:
• Green: If all eligible(1) passengers in the car are having their smart phones, Bluetooth activated, health application installed and connected, and their sanitary status(2) is compatible with the required one. This color indicates that the vehicle is safe.
• Red: if any of the passengers sanitary status is not compatible with the required one
• Orange: if the number of eligible passengers is more than the number of smart phones (with Bluetooth on and heath application installed and connected) detected. This means that not all eligible people in the vehicle are holding their smart phones or sharing their sanitary status, which is suspicious.
1. Eligible passenger detection:
The detection of the number of eligible people will be through a thermic camera. The camera's main output is an image of passengers. Further image processing and analysis is conducted int the picture to classify eligible people according to:
1. Size: to exclude underage passengers (no eligible).
2. Shape: To exclude animals with body temperature close to human beings.
3. Temperature: to exclude any object with similar shape to humans
2. Sanitary status detection and update
The sanitary status is provided by the approved health application and is shared by the passenger via Bluetooth. This may be:
1. COVID_19 vaccine intake status: non-immunized or immunized
2. COVID_19 infection status: Safe (not infected), unsafe (infected or was in contact with an infected person)
The update is needed each time a new passenger is got into the vehicle, aiming to consider his status. Hence, the update is related by either actions:
1. Vehicle is stooped: the device will be connected to the vehicle gear to detect its status. The update is done when the gear is moved to Neutral or Parked. This is more suitable to small vehicle like cars and buses.
2. Door is open: sensors will be placed in all entries of the vehicle to detect when it is open. This is suitable to all sort of vehicles including trains.
