UI/UX designer
Budget: $10 – $13 USD
We are looking for an experienced, talented and motivated UI/UX Designer who can help evolve our partners’ current products and help conceive and iterate on upcoming products. Working as a UI/UX Designer at Space Age will be dynamic. You‘ll be working with a multi-disciplinary team of digital marketers and product designers, part of a small tight-knit digital agency, working on the best-in-class design and with vibrant brands with a vision for deep innovation, philanthropy, and sustainability. We’re greater together through ultra-learning continuous improvement, fearless experimentation and a highly diverse team, with different backgrounds, interests and capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the UI/UX initiative by collaborating closely with the product owners and development teams to create top-notch product experiences
- Understand, prioritize, and translate client goals into effectively designed digital products
- Imagine, establish, and implement the conceptual and stylistic direction of the User Interface (UI) for software products using interactive graphic solutions for delivery
- Provide UI design with effective User Experience (UX) that fully illustrates interface layout, behaviors, a hierarchy of content, and intended navigation
- Provide detailed design and specifications to developers
- Support delivery of a fully functional website/app with content approved by the client.
- Ability to manage your deliverables, and set expectations with clear communication, planning, and estimated timelines
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of current accessibility and usability standards, implementation and problem solving
- Share industry knowledge, recommend refinements, and proactively work to improve internal design processes and deliverables
- Have the ability to work independently and resourcefully while also being a trusted and valued contributor to the team through empathy, collaboration, and contributions
What we’re looking for:
- Organized, focused and self-motivated to be successful and productive in working remotely
- Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail
- At least 3 years of UI/UX design experience with solid understanding of UI/UX design fundamentals
- You are familiar with a range of user experience best practices, patterns, and guidelines as well as UI styles and frameworks, and can call upon them to solve for most any design case
- Ability to draft UI/UX Design deliverables (workflows, information architecture, create wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, conceptual designs, etc.)
- Experience using design tools such as Adobe CC, Figma, Sketch, or other similar tools.
- Great taste and aesthetic sensibility
- Independently drive areas of expertise with a sense of passion and ownership
- A portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design solutions with strong visual and interaction design skills that include mobile apps and responsive websites.
