design and prepare the prints for punch cards for our employees
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
1 – Make a design for punch cards for employees of our company
The punch card should be 8.5 x 5.4 cm (standard credit card size). But they will be laminated, so the plastic will need about 2 mm of clearance all around, so the paper should be around 8.3x5.2 cm
In our punch system, the employee must punch with his personal card, then he must enter a “company code” wich is the same for everyone. (the company code is the code “INOUT”, it’s hardcoded in our punch system, it needs it to validate a punch)
So the card must have 2 sides :
The front is personalized for each employee : square QR code + name + maybe a logo or something
The back is the same for everyone : square QR code + the sentence “Code Compagnie” (French because we are in Quebec)
Ideally the front and the back should have visual queues (maybe different colors) so the employee don’t punch the “company code” first.
Design cues : we are an industrial company, we make heavy equipment for trucks, mainly snow plowers.

Our colors are black, white, yellow/orange #f3c300 , and grey
Here are crude exemples that I made myself
If you need more logos we can give you more, please don't design new logos.
2 – Make a system so we can mass print the cards when feeded by a standard data file
Ideally, the data file would be an excel file with name, employee’s code.
Ideally, the file should produce the QR Code (black and white, with 30% redundancy), but if it’s not possible, I can produce it myself manually in .png format, and provide the link into the excel file.
Employee’s code are numbers, 4 to 6 figure long.
Company code is always the word “INOUT”
Then with some kind of mail merge, the information should feed a file ready to print (we can use for exemple publisher, or word)
We use the paper format “letter”
I would like as many as possible card to print in one page
We will cut the cards manually, and would appreciate to see where to cut
We will then laminate the cards, so for the back, it can be just a separate file to print and cut, we can put the 2 pieces of paper cut back to back in the laminator to get the final card.
Attached is an exemple of excel file that could be used as data source
