YouTube Packaging Specialist — Titles & Thumbnails
YouTube
Nervous System Regulation
Ongoing Retainer
ABOUT THE CHANNEL

We create content focused on nervous system regulation — helping people understand and apply tools for stress recovery, emotional resilience, and body-based healing. Our audience is curious, health-conscious, and looking for credible, calming guidance they can act on.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a packaging specialist who understands that a thumbnail and title are not decoration—they are the first conversion point. You'll own the click-through performance of every video we publish.

Primary goal: Increase YouTube CTR from its current rate of under 3% to a sustained 6–8% within 90 days. This will be the primary measure of success for this retainer.
WHAT YOU'LL DELIVER
3 thumbnail concepts per video (with one recommended pick)
3–5 title options per video, including curiosity-gap and SEO variations
Final thumbnail files: 1280×720px, RGB, under 2MB
Monthly performance review deck—CTR by video, what worked, what to iterate
A/B test recommendations using YouTube Studio Experiments
NICHE CONTEXT YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND

Nervous system content lives in a trust-sensitive space. Our audience responds to:

Calm authority over hype
Science-backed curiosity
Emotional resonance
Body/somatic imagery
Relatable overwhelm → relief

Clickbait-style thumbnails will hurt our retention and brand trust. We want high CTR and high average view duration—not one at the expense of the other.

SKILLS & TOOLS REQUIRED
Design tools
Photoshop or Figma
Analytics access
YouTube Studio (we'll grant)
Copywriting
Title & curiosity-gap writing
Testing
A/B experiments & iteration
HOW WE'LL MEASURE SUCCESS
CTR — Primary KPI
Target: 6–8% sustained over 30-day rolling window. Reviewed monthly.
Impressions served
Are more videos being surfaced by the algorithm? CTR only counts if impressions are healthy.
Average View Duration (AVD)
Great packaging should not tank retention. We'll track AVD alongside CTR—they must move together.
A/B test win rate
Percentage of experiments where your recommended thumbnail outperforms the control.
WHEN YOU APPLY, PLEASE INCLUDE
Portfolio of YouTube thumbnails — with CTR data where possible
2–3 example titles you'd write for a video called "Why your nervous system is stuck in survival mode"
A brief note on how you approach packaging for trust-sensitive health content
