Yak 52 Aerofoil Design

Job ID: 38700624

Budget: £36 – £0 GBP

I'm looking for a clean sheet design for a new aerofoil for a Yak 52. The primary goal of this project is to optimize the aerodynamics of the aircraft wing, with a particular focus on enhancing its speed capabilities and incorperating an internally stowed main landing gear and a wet wing design to increase the amount of fuel carried. I'd like to maintain similar approach and final speeds (<170 and 140 across the numbers, KPH) which may also include the incorperation of fowler rather than split flaps (possibly)

Aircraft must still retain a +9 - 5g load limit however the MTOW may increase
We are looking for a significant increase in cruise speed and VNE

Ideal skills and experience for the job include:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in aerodynamics and wing design.
- Proficiency in creating innovative and effective aircraft components.
- Understanding of the specific flight characteristics and requirements of a Yak 52.
- Ability to produce high-quality, workable designs suitable for real-world application.

We have the ability to 3D scan the existing aerofoil (or entire aircraft)
We will need extensive similation to validate the design for production . Happy to explore composite/modern alloys.
