Whisky Distilleries Profile Template Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Create a template for a single page profile for whisky distilleries. This project is to develop the style and template. The deliverables are full specifications for the template, InDesign template file, 3x completed examples.
Page size is 20x25cm less a 0.6cm edge buffer. The style should be casual and cartoonish; like an infographic template.
There are 168 distilleries in the database, each with 39 fields plus a spider graph (example attached). The fields include short strings (eg name, postcode etc), yes/no flags, simple numbers (eg capacity in litres), longer sub-tables (eg 16 line opening hours), and longer text fields (eg description, timeline etc). Not all fields are relevant for all distilleries so would be blank. There is a symbol set to use with some fields (eg if the condenser type is shell and tube there is a specific symbol that needs to appear on the profile page.
This project is to create the template and 3 examples only, not generating all 168 profile pages.
Attached is the codebook and symbols guide with three sample records. "8 doors" as an example of a distillery with short/simple content, "Aberfeldy" as an example of average content, and "Glenfiddich" as an example of long/complex content. There is also a guide setting out the symbols and associated fields.
