Visually Stunning Travel Ebook Creation
Budget: $250 – $750 SGD
I'm in need of a skilled designer and content writer to whip up a visually stunning travel ebook primarily focusing on our travel itinerary, using our photographs as supporting elements.
The ebook should have various different graphical elements in it to make it attractive and premium, while maintaining clear overviews and structures so the user is able to digest all the information in there easily.
I'm looking for a freelancer to help us create a travel e-book from our summer trip from last year through Switzerland, France, and Italy. We have a (messy) itinerary with a lot of bullet points on what we did, which days, travel time, etc. Also, we do have a selection of photographs we want to include which we took ourselves.
The purpose of the ebook would be to have and potentially sell as a travel itinerary for people looking to explore a three-week trip through Europe, with mountains, nature, and also some chill.
We'd love to have a lot of tips and tricks in there, personal stories, as well as routes and more details on the places themselves, for which you'd have to research yourself.
Here's what you need to know:
- The ebook will have a static layout, providing a straightforward and quick reading experience for the users. It should be PDF format, and the interactivity in there can be minimized to clicking from page-to-page or external websites when it would bring more information.
- Whilst the main focus will be on the travel itinerary, our photographs should supplement the itinerary to offer a visual representation of each stop along the journey. As the photographs are unedited, you should be able to bring the overall visual style of the ebook to the same level; which means editing (color grading) some of the pictures as well.
What I'm looking for:
- The designer should be well versed in creating visually engaging ebooks, which a lot of small graphical elements. Experience in travel-related ebooks is a big bonus if the style of previous examples resonates well.
- Willing to write captivating messages and informative texts on certain Point of Interest in the ebook, doing some research yourself based on pointers
- Proficiency in design platforms that are equipped to handle ebook design (eg. Adobe InDesign)
- Proficiency in photo enhancement tools to make them in the same visual style overall (eg. Adobe Lightroom)
- The designer should have a keen eye for design, layout arrangements and typography to make the ebook attractive, yet simple to read.
In your proposal, please provide a brief summary of your ebook design experience, and include samples of ebooks or other digital publications you've designed.
