Virtual Goal Tracker

Job ID: 31625960

Budget: $50 – $100 NZD

Overview:
We are looking to develop a simple quest-like virtual goal tracker which enables users to check off objectives and monitor their progress.

Project Idea:
We are a small group of students looking to develop a proof of concept system which encourages users to reach their goals through gamification. The system would first prompt users to submit a single main goal and numerous related sub-goals: between 3 and 7 sub-goals may be submitted in order of completion. Once all inputs have been added users can ‘check-off’ each sub-goal in the required order and eventually check off the main goal. For each item checked off a separate animation will execute.

Animation:
Our initial idea for the animation is to have a character traverse throughout a map collecting items (sword, shield, etc.), battling enemies, or completing quests along the way as each sub-goal is completed. When the main goal is achieved the character will sit atop of a throne before being prompted to submit a new goal.
We are open to a wide variety of art and animation styles for this task and the perspective may be from the birds eye, side-scroller view, or similar. The animation may be relatively simple.
Additionally, we welcome any other suggestions for the animation’s theme, however, we ask that animations do not include excessive violence.

System:
We are open to a variety of applications for the systems to run on. This system does, however, need to be executable and presentable by the team before the 12th of October. Possible systems may include a website or downloadable application, however, open to other suggestions.
