Vintage Fantasy City Map Illustration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a hand-drawn sketch of my fantasy city and I’d like it transformed into a finished vintage-style illustrated map. Think old travel posters or antique atlas plates rather than cartoon panels: muted colours, aged parchment textures, ornate compass rose—the works.
The map should sit in the sweet spot between clarity and charm, so I’m asking for a moderately detailed rendering. Every major landmark, the web of streets and alleyways, plus the rivers, small forests and surrounding hills that give the city its character all need to appear and feel cohesive. Clutter is unnecessary, but the viewer should be able to trace routes, recognise districts at a glance, and enjoy decorative flourishes around important sites.
I’ll supply:
• A scanned sketch with notes on scale and key locations
• A short legend describing each landmark’s icon or silhouette
Deliverables I need back:
• One high-resolution digital map (minimum 6000 px on the long edge) in PNG or TIFF
• The layered working file (PSD, AI, or Procreate) so I can toggle labels later
• A print-ready version with 3 mm bleed and CMYK profile
Aged paper textures, hand-lettered titles, and subtle ink washes are welcome; just keep the overall tone vintage and legible. If you’re experienced in Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools and enjoy breathing life into imaginary places, this should be a fun commission.
