Toronto Transit Design: Integrated Systems Map
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
High-Resolution Toronto Transportation Systems Map
Project Description:
I am seeking an expert designer to create a high-resolution, large-scale map that integrates all transportation systems in Toronto into a single, cohesive design. This map will be a branded gift for my clients, so it must be professional, visually stunning, and highly readable. The final product should be optimized for printing on a 4 x 3 ft poster and leave a lasting impression.
Key Requirements:
Integrated Transportation Systems:
Include all major transportation systems in Toronto, such as:
Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway, buses, and streetcars.
GO Transit (regional trains and buses).
Union Pearson Express (UP Express).
Other relevant transit systems, e.g., Ontario Line (future routes, if possible).
Highlight connections and transitions between systems for seamless navigation.
Highlight Local Nuclear Power Plants:
As I work in the nuclear industry, any nuclear power plants that fall within the map frame should be clearly marked and starred.
Ensure these features are clearly defined and explained in the map legend.
Design Specifications:
Poster Size: 4 x 3 ft (48 x 36 inches) with bleed and crop marks for professional printing.
Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI to ensure sharp, clear quality even at large scale.
Readability:
Use clean fonts and clear labels for all transportation routes and stations.
Avoid clutter by balancing detailed information with visual clarity.
Legend: Include a comprehensive legend to explain all routes, modes of transportation, and special markers (e.g., nuclear power plants).
Style: Professional, modern, and visually captivating, designed to impress.
Company Branding:
Add my company logo in a designated area (I will provide the logo in high resolution).
Leave space for a short tagline or description below the logo (text to be provided).
Deliverables:
Raw source files in an editable format (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software).
Final high-resolution PDF and PNG versions, ready for print.
Print-ready file with bleed and crop marks.
Minimum Quality Standards:
The map should retain clarity and detail even when printed at 4 x 3 ft.
Test readability by ensuring all text and icons are easily legible when viewed at arm’s length.
Include design proof iterations for review and feedback before final delivery.
Timeline:
The project should be completed within 2 weeks from the start date.
Budget:
The budget for this project is fixed at $300.
Please confirm in your proposal that you agree to this fixed price.
Optional:
Suggestions on improving map readability or incorporating unique design elements are welcome.
Familiarity with Toronto’s transportation systems and basic knowledge of nuclear industry sites is a plus.
If you have the expertise to create a visually stunning, readable, and professional map that impresses as a large-scale poster, I’d love to work with you. Looking forward to your proposals!
