Template Pack for Cover + Header/Footer
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for a freelancer experienced in PDF handling and template parametrization to build a technical Template Pack that will be consumed by our Document Control microservice.
The graphic design of the cover and header/footer is already provided by us in PDF/Word format, along with the corporate logo URL. This project does not include creative design work – the scope is strictly technical parametrization (coordinates, fonts, styles) into JSON.
Scope of Work
1. Convert the provided cover design into a clean Cover.pdf.
2. Create Manifest.json defining dynamic fields on the cover:
• Code (PAS)
• Title
• Version
• Publication date
• Classification
• Criticality
• Approvers
• QR (from provided URL)
• Revision history (dynamic table with version, date, created by, reviewed by, QAC, approved by, control document).
3. Create HeaderFooter.json defining header and footer for all body pages (e.g., Rev vX.X | date | Page i of N | classification), format provied by us.
4. Include embeddable TTF fonts in fonts/.
5. Deliver schema/ with JSON Schemas to validate Manifest and HeaderFooter.
6. Prepare a QA kit:
• 5–10 JSON payloads for testing (short/long titles, ES/EN language, variations).
• “Golden” reference PDFs for comparison.
• Overlay/debug instructions for alignment validation.
7. Provide brief documentation (README.md) explaining conventions, Template Pack structure, and integration.
Requirements
• Strong experience with PDF manipulation and positioning elements on pages.
• Understanding of PDF coordinate system (points, bottom-left origin).
• JSON and JSON Schema expertise.
• Precision in calibration (±2 pt tolerance).
Timeline
Estimated duration: 2 –5 days.
