Squadron Lithograph Poster Redesign

Job ID: 37953444

Budget: $30 – $150 USD

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of our squadron to request a new rendition of our current litho poster, which we feel is due for an artistic update. The existing version, while meaningful, showcases a style that has become somewhat dated and appears overly simplistic and two-dimensional in its current form.

For the new design, we are looking to infuse a more dynamic and modern artistic approach while retaining the core elements that symbolize our squadron's identity and heritage. To aid in this redesign, we will attach the current poster version for your reference.

Here is a detailed description of the key elements we wish to incorporate in the new rendition:

• Central Theme: The poster features a dark silhouette of a knight on horseback, set against a vivid backdrop that includes a green mountain landscape with a large, yellow sun low in the horizon, suggesting the ambiance of either sunrise or sunset. The knight and horse, both showcased in profile view, are intricately designed, with the knight brandishing a sword that has lightning intertwined along the blade. Both figures are adorned in medieval armor, symbolizing strength and valor.
• Anachronistic Elements: Above the knight, a black flag billows, adorned with white binary code—a nod to our digital age. The flagpole is encircled by a black cobra, an homage to our squadron's previous mascot. Adding to the temporal juxtaposition, the silhouettes of modern aircraft—specifically a U-2 Dragon Lady ahead of a B-29, again referencing the history of the squadron—are seen in the distant sky, bridging the gap between past and present warfare technologies.
• Foreground Details: The foreground should depict a battlefield ambiance, with unexploded bombs scattered across the ground, emerging from the dirt. This element adds a layer of depth and narrative to the scene.
• Text Elements: The phrase "BLACK KNIGHTS" is to be prominently displayed at the bottom of the poster, with the historical tagline "Born 1943 - Knighted 1993" positioned underneath, celebrating our squadron's storied past and evolution.
We envision the new design to embody a more detailed, vibrant, and three-dimensional aesthetic, capturing the essence of our squadron's spirit and legacy with a fresh and engaging visual narrative.

We are open to creative interpretations and would love to see how your team can reimagine these elements in a modernized art style. Your expertise in bringing such visions to life is highly valued, and we look forward to your ideas and suggestions for this project.

Please note, for the flag's binary code, we would like it to be "01000010 01101100 01100001 01100011 01101011 00100000 01001011 01101110 01101001 01100111 01101000 01110100 01110011 00100000 01000100 01100001 01101101 01101110 00100000 01010010 01101001 01100111 01101000 01110100", which translates to our squadron motto: "Black Knights Damn Right". This is a crucial detail that adds a personalized touch reflecting our pride and motto.

Thank you for considering our request, and we look forward to your response.
