Simple Graphics Work for Pool Billiards related project, pool enthusiasts preferred :)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a simple pool billiards related graphic project. So love for pool billiards (and basic understanding of the game, reaction of ball of each other and of the rails) is very helpful and a pool nut will be preferred. Since pool is very big in the Philippines (Efren Reyes, Bustamante) I hope to find some graphic designers and pool enthusiasts on this way, perhaps someone from the Philippines.
Windows paint is enough for the needed graphic software. But you are free to choose a program you are comfortable with. Other needed tools are a video player to play mp4 (like media player classic (MPC) of VLC video player) and some screen capture program like snipping tool.
I want to make flashcards out of pool (One Pocket) situations. So one graph (first side of the flashcard) is the situation at the table and second side is the solution.
Here is an example of the graphs in a flashcard app on an iPad.
https://youtu.be/UAJBlFGyA-c
So I’d send you video of the match and timeline of the shot and would need the graph of the shot reconstructed in the following manner: white line for path of the white cue ball. Coloured lines for path of the object balls in the colour of the balls (black for black 8, dark green for 6 and 14, red for 3 and 11 and so on).
Video of the One Pocket match would look like this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQW-04oVn_s
Example 006.jpg is my screenshot of which shot to process (name of video and timestamp are in the picture). So that’s the next shot after at 1:30:30 in the video.
006b.jpg is what the solution graph should look like.
You can see the path of the balls after the shot in the video but the basic pool knowledge is very helpful to know the paths of the balls after contacting other balls and their reaction of the rails.
I need around 2-5 minutes to create a pair of flashcards for one pool shot. It’s probably possible to do it faster with some experience.
So the job is to type the names of the pictures in google spreadsheet. Mark the pocket of the player with an X or arrow (on the question flashcard) (I prefer an X but it’s an arrow in the example given). Crop the graph (so one can see only the pool table). Like this: 006a.jpg.
(The example is also good for the size of the final pictures, so around 500x750 pixels with the whole table clearly seen (if poosible) from the same perspective as in this example.)
And create a picture for flash cards answer with paths of the balls. Like this: 006b.jpg (Naming the graph files in the following logic: running number for shot (006) a for Question and b for Answer.
The details should be put in a google spreadsheet with the following logic (for later reference and creating the flashcards in the app): see example spreadsheet.jpg
“Picture 1” is Question (for Flashcard). For example 006a.jpg
“Picture 2” is Answer (006b.jpg)
“Notes” is name of the video file (for future reference)
“Extra Info” is timestamp of the shot
My budget is about 0.50 $ per flashcard-pair. Make your offers. There will be probably hundreds of shots in the process. First two projects will have about 150 shots (flashcards). But hoping to getting back to the same freelancer for creating more flashcards in the future (if I like the cooperation and quality of the work) so overall budget could be 500-1000 $.
So the way I would like it in the future (after first 2 projects) would be to have some messenger connection with the freelancer (like what’s-app though messenger in the freelancer app works probably fine also). When I am watching a match of one pocket (for my pleasure) an encounter a shot I’d like to have transferred to flashcards, I make a photo (or screenshot) and send it to the freelancer. And he or she can batch them in like 20-50 at a time and return the ready work (flashcards) in about a week.
That’s what that photos will look like: example photo.jpg (so will contain the needed information of video file and timestamp plus layout of the table for double checking.
Would like to use Google Drive for Spreadsheet, uploading pictures and sending the video files of the match.
