Scales of Justice - David and Goliath -Thumb on Scale
Budget: $250 – $750 NZD
Book Cover about an injustice that took 18.5 years to play out - started on 7th Jan 1998 and ended on 28 July 2017

It was called "Sludgegate" ,
A sub title could be something like "epic battle for justice" or "one man v the state" etc
However, all just a working title and the experts in the publishing industry will know doubt come up with a more compelling title and subtitle and there is a chance it could be a drama/doco inspired by a true story or similar
Attached is a rough concept of what I am trying to convey to the readers that it was a David and Goliath battle
The scale of justice is unbalanced when taking on the stat!
Adrian DAVID Chsholm's head on the David platter up high on the scales (the rest of his body feed into the sausage machine as a pig and out pops the sausages in the great legal quote
“Before you start suing you need to know Litigation is a machine that you will enter as a pig and leave as a sausage- and I am the one turning the handle and getting paid for every turn!”
Low down on the other side of the scales is the Goliath "trough" that "Establishment" or "system" are feeding in at David's expense, if you get the gist
The frame of the scale of justice could be a sausage machine popping out sausages with meat and $$$$ in them and they are then feed into the trough of the "Establishment" to fight over
It was a legal case about the Abuse of Power (also called misfeasance in public office)
The City Council then uses "our" ratepayers money to defend themselves and the poor old citizen needs to fund the litigation to get justice, thus not many take on City Hall
The old saying is you can not win against city hall
Then there is the "thumb on the scale" concept where people can apply pressure to the scales without anyone seeing it happen
Ironically, I think it started in the butchers shop, where the butcher would hold down the scale when weighing the meat and charges more than the correct price because of the extra weight exerted by the butcher thumb
The bad actors include lawyers, judges, council officials, politicians, some media in the pocket of the establishment - all in the trough feeding
There were also some good actors who assisted me through the battle including a retired supreme court judge, lawyers, Members of Parliament, some media and just salt of the earth good kiwi folk out in punter land etc
