Recreate CorelDraw files as Adobe Illustrator files using AI Best Practices

I work in CorelDraw but sometimes need to provide files in AI format. The export/import between the two softwares does not work as it should and I need to follow best practices for AI. I need a designer who can work in both softwares and ensure the AI files match the Corel files. We can export working PDF files from Corel as a starting point but some things will need to be recreated. For example:
- text boxes do not translate over nicely and would need to be remade
- photos/images should be linked to external files so they can easily be updated or replaced
- gradients may need to be adjusted or recreated
- blend modes may not produce the same results so may need finessing
