Raspberry Pi Countdown Timer Clock
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Final Product: Raspberry Pi programming (alternately shipped hardware) with output (to external monitors/screens) of a mutlipurpose clock, countdown timer, and stop watch functions, used at Competition BBQ.
Screen Design: (refer very basic mock up image attached)
- Large Green Clock at top
- Four Sections (possibly five, refer notes below)
... White Text: Static
... Grey text: Pick date/time for each event to occur
... Red text: Countdown timer to event (may be greater than 24 hours)
... Yellow text: Stop watch with associated (stop/start/reset) buttons
General functionality is self explanatory.
Grey is either entered through a date/time picker (using mouse) or keyboard entry.
Green counts up (wish to add milliseconds).
Red counts down to a set time/date.
Yellow is stop watch function (no lap, just start/stop/reset) - controlled by either standard PC mouse, or future custom button panel interface (mouse preferred for now)
Additional functionality:
- If possible, make the green clock adjustable, sometimes the official time clock is a few seconds ahead or behind our phones/computers.
- Add milliseconds to all clocks and timers
- Add a fifth section for auxiliary event... same functionality
