Pixel Card Art Creation -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My card game needs a full set of fresh pixel art—at least 20 unique illustrations, possibly more if our final rule cards call for it. Every Rule card will showcase one clearly readable focal point: a character, an item, or a small scene. I’m leaving the exact theme open to your interpretation; whether you blend fantasy, sci-fi, historical touches, or invent something entirely new, the key is a cohesive style that feels collectible across the deck player will be able to edit what styles they want displayed.
Game Information
Cards are displayed in the customization menu as a layer system witch get rasterized later but you can take advantage of it when coming up with artwork!
--- Layers ---
- Card Back Face (The back of the cards artwork) {Cant be set per card effects all cards}
- Card Base (The base of the card like the paper of the card or making it metal, glass, cardboard)
- Card Boarder (goes over the base and sometimes covers a little of the artwork)
- Card Icon Overlays (These are Icons and Images that show interactions) {you can request to do these but there not the focus rn}
{ok and then the two fun ones}
- Card Overlay Effects (A animated overlay over the entire card {inside} that moves with the card)
- Card Outside Effects & Animations (a animated overlay over the card and outside the card but doesn't move with the card) {think a haze of smoke that floats around the card}
Artwork specs
• Resolution that scales cleanly to standard poker-size printing; the base files can sit around 168 × 236 px If you would like to work in a more or less detailed style I can work with you to come to a better resolution.
• Transparent-background PNGs for each finished card asset, plus layered PSD or Aseprite files so I can tweak later.
• Consistent palette and proportions across the set (Your set) so characters, items, and scenes read instantly at a glance.
I’ll share a card list with short prompts once we start I need to get 20 Rule cards done but if you would like to do other aspects of the game let me know and we can talk we will start small, then review the first few pieces to lock in a style. After that, batches of five work well for feedback turnaround. If you love storytelling through pixels, let’s get started.
