Pixel Art for mini-Fighting Game
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
PLEASE share any pixel art you have completed.
I am looking for a pixel art specialist to design high quality pixel art for a mini-fighting game. There will be 2 character sprite sheets, and 3 levels with the background parallax (sky) as well as a simple title screen with pixelated artwork.
Here's what we need:
2 - Fighter character sprite sheets (25 sprites, see sample attached)
3 - Pixel Art backgrounds with a separate layer for the sky
1 – Pixelated start screen with company logo
The project will be completed in three stages:
1. Preliminary designs: You will complete single character images and rough background designs.
2. Customers will review and request changes.
3. Final artwork, full sprite sheet as well as completed backgrounds with customer input delivered.
Detailed Description:
My customer has asked for a 16-bit feel, specifically 'muted 90’s techno', similar style to the game called, Verdict Guilty (You can see it here: https://youtu.be/8_3lgPAMQUE)
The project consists of two fighter character sprite sheets, a title screen, and three backgrounds. The sky portion of the background will be a separate layer so that I can place it behind the main image, creating a parallax effect (I will do that myself). Two of the backgrounds are retail storefront locations. Reference photos will be provided (see the attached sample). The third background is the inside of a retail store location.
I've attached a sample background as well as the sprite sheet (actual size) so you could see what we are looking for. The customer will require a non-disclosure/work for hire agreement to be signed before actual images are provided.
The timeline and payment schedule is:
- When NDA signed I will make a 20% prepayment
- 3 work days after receipt of prepayment you will have preliminary designs finished (these do not have to be final images, but preliminary designs for client approval--so they can get an idea and make sure we're all on the same page)
- Once these designs are approved I will make an additional 30% payment to you.
- 5 work days after the second payment you will send me full, completed artwork for sprites and backgrounds.
- The customer will approve or ask for changes.
- Once final artwork is completed with changes, the final 50% payment will be made.
I have worked on dozens of freelance projects, and I always pay promptly, and try to communicate as clearly as possible. This is a very fun project and I look forward to working with you on it!
