HERStory Girls’ Workbook – Healing, Growth & Empowerment Curriculum
Project Overview:
The HERStory Mentorship Program is seeking a designer/publisher to professionally develop, design, and produce a branded therapeutic workbook for girls and young women ages 9–25.
The workbook will be used as part of the HERStory group mentorship curriculum and will serve as a personal growth tool to help participants reflect, process emotions, build confidence, and track their healing journey.
This workbook is a core component of the HERStory mission:
Guiding girls and young women from pain to purpose through education, empowerment, and sisterhood.
About HERStory Mentorship Program:
HERStory is a trauma-informed mentorship program created by Branazia Walton. The program provides emotional support, identity development, self-esteem strengthening, and safe-space programming for girls and young women.
HERStory was designed to be the supportive, judgment-free space many young women — including its founder — needed during adolescence. The program incorporates principles of healing-centered engagement, peer support, empowerment, and positive youth development.
Workbook Purpose:
The HERStory Workbook will serve as:
A guided journal
A reflection tool
A mental health and emotional wellness aid
A curriculum companion
A self-esteem builder
A way to track personal progress across the 12-session mentorship program
The workbook should feel warm, inspiring, culturally relevant, age-appropriate, and aligned with the HERStory brand.
Intended Users:
Girls and young women ages 9–25, with diverse backgrounds and experiences, including those navigating:
Self-esteem challenges
Emotional instability
Family or friendship conflict
School stress
Trauma or loss
Identity development
Lack of positive role models

The workbook will include the following sections (already drafted and ready for design):
1. Reflection Pages
Prompts focusing on self-awareness, emotional processing, and safety within the group setting.
2. Journaling Prompts
Open-ended writing exercises related to identity, healing, purpose, and emotional growth.
3. Affirmation Section
Curated positive affirmations reinforcing self-worth and internal empowerment.
4. Group Session Reflection Pages
Space for notes and takeaways from each weekly session.
5. Goal Setting & Visioning Pages
Short-term and long-term goal prompts.
6. Notes Pages
Extra lined or creative pages for personal writing.
