PDF Document Design - Print Ready

I have PDF documents that I need assistance with to get them looking their absolute best. Front cover, back cover and content pages contained within (approx 4 content pages). All of these files have been created on Adobe Illustrator. I need a professional to ensure all of these files are "print ready" (with appropriate bleeds and colour settings for the printer, etc) as well as to touch up some of the existing design features (for example there is an index that requires some new illustrations and the photo effects could perhaps be better?). I need these files to be ready to send straight to the printer but I also need to be able to edit them if necessary so Illustrator preferred but I can get InDesign etc. if absolutely necessary. Also there are white lines showing up on my PDFs - could do with that being rectified. Thanks.
